Wise Words: Dissecting Kansas City with Crosby Kemper III

Wise Words with Crosby Kemper KC Public Library Director

It’s February.  The cold has lingered on long enough and we’re itching for some good energy.  This month’s Wise Words will give you a jolt as we dive in with legendary Kansas City personality Crosby Kemper III.  We plan to explore what this crown city looks like from his eyes – today and into tomorrow.  What turns a banker into a librarian?  We’ll learn what drives the Director of the Kansas City Public Library to take on digital inclusion and what it’s going to take to have a hand in erasing the divide.  We’ll explore libraries in digital cities and learn a thing or two about life as a Kemper in KC.

No doubt it’s pretty interesting to be Crosby Kemper III.  Maybe he’ll tell us about that time last March when he got a security escort right out of Governor Nixon’s office…maybe.

Join us Thursday, February 18 at 8:30am for this chat.

Next month, we’ll spotlight a special report from KC Rising from JPMorgan Chase Executive Director Ward Nixon on Thursday, March 24.

Come early because the Think Big Thursdays experience is always unique and the crowd is always friendly. Coffee is pouring, and COWORKING IS FREE when you join us on Think Big Thursdays.
