At Think Big, we’re excited to announce that we’re hosting our first Chili Cook-off for Charity at 12:00 p.m. Nov. 17 in our second floor coworking space!
For a $5 donation, Think Big members can serve up their best recipes, sample all the chili their hearts desire, and vote on their favorites. In true Think Big style, all proceeds will be donated to the winning chef’s charity of choice.
Why are we hosting a chili cook-off, you ask?
If I had to choose one food to describe Think Big, I’d say we’re a big bowl of warm, hearty chili. Now, if you’re gasping because I didn’t say Kansas City barbecue, hear me out.
Like many startups, chili came from humble beginnings. Back in the Wild West, cattle drivers didn’t always have access to abundant food while working outside, and chili supplied them with long-lasting energy. In America, chili has long been a beloved staple, even among some of the country’s most famous entrepreneurs. Walt Disney, for example, ate chili frequently. And Think Big is populated by dreamers like Disney who work each day, entirely devoted to their crafts.
Just like a delicious bowl of chili, our community contains so much soul and flavor. Every time I walk down the halls, I’m greeted with warm smiles and waves. The people here are soothing and well-rounded; some are bold and spicy. Chili embodies the perfect balance between a comforting meal you know you can count on and an exciting experiment, bound to challenge your taste buds.
Most important, chili is a meal that’s meant to be shared. At Think Big, we’re all about sharing. With each interaction, you get a taste for something new — a new idea, a new technology, a new industry, or a new way of working.
Our parents always told us, “You are what you eat,” and this November, we’re taking their words of wisdom literally. With the Thanksgiving season upon us, what better way is there to celebrate each other and give back?
